HISTORY & BIOS

Kevin Sullivan is the owner and founder of Com Link, Inc. since it’s inception in 1997.  My academic background and early career work is in area of psychology and family psychotherapy.  Some days it feels like I haven’t really changed careers that much at all.  Most of my training in computers has been of the OTJ variety, supplemented with courses in computer repair, network cabling, tech support, MS Office, etc. 

Dana Derber, or “Mrs. Com Link” as she is sometimes known, is my partner in life and is also active part-time at Com Link as our Graphic Artist.  Dana has a B.S. in Art from the UW Madison and over 25 years of on-the-job experience at a several companies.  She has done design work for art galleries, real estate companies, health clubs, churches and civic organizations, large and small businesses and individuals with their own home and web based businesses.  Dana has continued to upgrade her skills and education throughout the years by attending courses in web design, specialized software programs, MS Office and many other areas as she strives to broaden her knowledge base.  Dana’s friendly personality combined with a strong academic and professional background in Art and Design and her excellent eye for color and detail make her an important member of the Com Link team. 

Collin Sullivan is our high school-age son whose gaming skills are nearly as impressive as his game design skills.  He is now working part-time at Com Link and is expected to play a larger role in the future of the business. 

Seth Sullivan is still in grade school and has been computing since age three.  Collin better keep one eye looking over his shoulder at all times! 

Brad Wohlk had been my primary service technician from November of 2003 until May 2005.  He is now a Geek Squad member for the BB franchise. 

Dharma Singh is my friend, neighbor and our Certified MCSC Independent Contractor.  He has 13+ years of experience as a company IT tech and has performed a wide variety of computer services on behalf of Com Link over the years.  He knows his way around PCs, networks, VPNs, the internet and software applications with the best of them.  In other words, when we need and ace-in-the-hole, he’s our guy.   

David Knickmeier walked the path with me for three years and was instrumental in shaping the business into a retail entity and was the backbone of our initial technical expertise.  David’s contributions were many and far-reaching and we wish him continued success in his current position were he has been able to utilize his considerable expertise.
