Service

Our service department is staffed with highly competent technicians that make every effort to meet the customer’s needs and repair your computer in an efficient and timely manner, minimizing your down time and keeping costs at industry minimums.  We can diagnose your system and remove viruses, trojans and spyware; troubleshoot hardware, software and offer you sensible upgrades.  We can also build you a system that meets your needs for today and tomorrow.   

We are swift in our repairs with most systems being processed and repaired within 2-4 days.  Com Link no longer charges an hourly rate, but will give you a flat fee rate on most repairs.  Com Link can also backup and reinstall your data and do routine virus and spyware removal.  A consultation will be made with you for severely infected systems as to whether to do a hard drive reformat.   A free shareware spyware removal program is offered on all repairs.   

A word of sagely advice: You’re never as backed up as you think you are!  You should do so on a regular basis or be prepared for the harsh reality of rebuilding your system from the ground up when that inevitable catastrophe happens.  Even people who do not know how to use their backup programs can now do so easily using a “flash drive”, which are inexpensive and reliable.   

On-Site Service

Com Link offers on-site computer service to homes and businesses within a 30 mile radius of Sun Prairie.  Our staff and other Independent Contractors range from highly capable high school students who can pick up and deliver your computer and make minor repairs and upgrades; to an MCSC Certified technician who can set up or troubleshoot your network problems.  Call Com Link and we’ll make sure you get the right person for the right job. 

Rates for pick up and/or set up of your system are $25.00 per trip.  Senior citizens and shut-ins are charged for one way only, a $25.00 savings.  Computer pick ups are done when we have the personnel available to do so and are to be considered a courtesy, not a guarantee.

Reusing & Recycling

Com Link has a commitment to environmental sanity and strives to keep as many computers and accessories in the market for as long as possible before their inevitable retirement.  After all, “Somebody can use it somewhere, right?”  To this end we buy, refurbish and sell used computer systems.  For those of you on a tight budget or who just wanting a second system for the kids, consider hooking multiple systems together for file sharing, backing up and sharing a broadband internet connection.  Then you have attained a higher level of oneness with your digital self.  OK, so we all go somewhat mad at times, but it’s worth the price, right?   We also recycle used computers, but now charge $15.00 for monitors and $20.00 for a whole system.  Printers and scanners are $5.00.  This venture is not a money maker, but a service we provide to the community.
